By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby purchased as follows: Science-based public health measures are vital to preventing the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) by tourists within the United States and those who enter the country from abroad.

The Secretary of Labor, the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Secretary of Transport (including through the Administrator of the Federal Air Travel Administration (FAA)), the Secretary of Homeland Security (consisting of through the Administrator of the Transport Security Administration (TSA) and the Commandant of the United States Coast Guard), and the heads of any other executive departments and firms (firms) that have relevant regulatory authority (heads of agencies) will immediately do something about it, to the degree proper and consistent with applicable law, to need masks to be worn in compliance with CDC standards in or on: (i) airports; (ii) industrial aircraft; (iii) trains; (iv) public maritime vessels, consisting of ferries; (v) intercity bus services; and (vi) all types of public transport as specified in section 5302 of title 49, United States Code.
In executing this section, the heads of agencies shall consult, as appropriate, with interested celebrations, including State, local, Tribal, and territorial officials; market and union agents from the transportation sector; and customer agents. (c) Exceptions. The heads of agencies may make categorical or case-by-case exceptions to policies established under this area, consistent with applicable law, to the level that doing so is needed or required by law.
